BRANDON RAMEY
Dancer - Choreographer - Instructor
I received my ballet training at the Boston Ballet School, the Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet, and the San Francisco Ballet School and Trainee Program. I danced professionally with Ballet Memphis from 2009 - 2023, and have taught in the Ballet Memphis School since 2013, becoming the school's Assistant Director in 2021 and the Co-Director, along with my wife, Virginia, in 2023. I have had the privilege of dancing in a range of styles and in many notable works, including leading roles in Swan Lake and Giselle, as well as in new pieces by headlining choreographers such as Trey McIntyre, Stephanie Martinez, and Matthew Neenan. As a choreographer I have been commissioned to create main-stage works for Ballet Memphis, and I regularly choreograph for the Ballet Memphis School. My work with Ballet Memphis led to my selection as one of Memphis' best and brightest in the Memphis Flyer's Twenty Under Thirty Class of 2018. When I'm not in the studio I enjoy fixing up my 100+ year old house, seeing musicals with Virginia, and going on adventures with my daughters, Ellie and Marty. Please have a look at my work and know that I am eager and excited to be your guest teacher or choreographer!
